The 56,000-acre Truman Lake has great fishing.\u00a0 Crappie, catfish, hybrid bass, white bass, and hybrid bass are all common catches here, as is Spoonbill, in-season.<\/p>\n

\"Truman<\/a><\/p>\n

The Missouri Conservation Department has placed fish habitat (sunken cedar trees) at various places around the lake to improve fishing.\u00a0 Some of these are near our Fairfield boat ramp, and you can find their locations by searching for the Fish Attractor Maps available on the Missouri Department of Conservation website.<\/p>\n

The 105,000 acres of undeveloped Army Corps of Engineers land surrounding the lake is also open to hunting.\u00a0 Maps are available on the Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District website, or printed maps are available at the Truman Lake Corps of Engineers visitor\u2019s center.<\/p>\n

\"Truman<\/a>We happen to have a fishing guide, Gary Price, specializing in trophy hybrid bass, white bass, and walleye fishing, located here at our campground.\u00a0 He would be happy to take you and your friends or family (up to four people) out for a day or half-day of fishing and show you to a good time. \u00a0He\u2019ll provide the boat and all equipment, so all you\u2019ll need are fishing licenses.\u00a0 If you have questions or to make a reservation, you can give Gary a call at 816-520-5358.<\/p>\n
